Whittier

Just over the county line, Whittier offers hillside neighborhoods, a historic uptown, and larger lots than much of north Orange County. Remark Homes represented the seller of a hillside home here.

What to know before buying in Whittier

Hills and flats. Friendly Hills and the neighborhoods along the Puente Hills have view lots and winding streets; the flatter areas near Uptown and Whittier Boulevard have mid-century single-family tracts and some condos.

Los Angeles County rules. Property taxes, transfer taxes, and some disclosures differ from Orange County. We handle those differences so nothing surprises you in escrow.

Older homes, bigger lots. Much of the housing stock is 1950s to 1970s on larger lots. Sewer laterals, foundations on slopes, and roof age are the standard checks.

Next step

Two ways to start. Both end with a person.

01

Have a question?

Ask about a home, a neighborhood, your timeline, or what your own home might sell for. No agreement, no obligation. A licensed Realtor replies, usually the same business day.

02

Ready to be represented?

California requires a written buyer agreement before an agent tours homes with you. Ours is plain: 3% of the purchase price, exclusive representation, three months. Start it online in about a minute and e-sign when you are ready.
